SportsDataIO is looking for a junior full stack support software developer, who is willing to primarily work on maintaining existing source code, including public-facing websites, automated processes, SQL Server databases, and other internal tools & applications. This role will evolve over 12 months, as the candidate will grow into a role of architecting and developing new applications, websites, processes, databases, and APIs.
This individual will be primarily responsible for maintaining SQL Server databases housing sports information, such as teams, players, schedules, scores, team/player stats, projected stats, and more. An understanding of the .NET framework will be necessary to maintain data collection and data entry applications. Knowledge of ASP.NET, MVC and WCF web services is also important, as this individual will be required to develop, maintain, and scale public facing company websites (SportsData.IO, FantasyData.com, BettingData.com) and client-facing commercial API.
The candidate should have a deep understanding of professional/collegiate sports and APIs. A passion for sports, fantasy sports, and sports betting is a requirement. The domain knowledge of these items will be critical in the successful completion of the support developer's day-to-day responsibilities and their long-term growth at the company.
