As we round third base and head into home for the start of the 2024 MLB season, here at SportsDataIO, we're ready for Opening Day! In preparation for the beginning of this new season, we’re excited to introduce some MLB-specific new enhancements and features ahead of baseball’s return:
Pitch-by-Pitch in Play-by-Play
Our previous Play-by-Play product only delivered pitches at the end of a play or at bat, such as a single or a strikeout. With our recently enhanced Pitch-by-Pitch in Play-by-Play feed, you’ll get each pitch individually as they happen for even faster coverage - for every pitch, of every game, for the entire MLB season.

Transaction Logs
Never miss an injury, trade, call-up, or DFA. Our Transaction Log feed arrives for MLB in mid-April offering round-the-clock coverage monitored by our SportsDataIO Operations team of every move that takes place in the MLB. From players coming back off the Injured List, to being sent down to the minors, this feed will cover it all.
BAKER Trends
Our BAKER Product goes from strength to strength. Leveraging 10,000 simulations per game to predict what will happen in any given play, in any given circumstance. The core product is a must for anyone looking to get ahead of the game.
We’ve added a new feature: BAKER Trends. Looking backwards at a team or player’s season record, we point out interesting trends, such as a team’s unusual win rate in inter-league play on the road, or a pitcher’s overperformance in certain weather conditions. BAKER Trends offers unparalleled insights based on thousands of historical data points and irregularities.
New Sportsbooks
Our Pre-Game-Lines betting feeds now include ESPN BET and Tipico markets. During the season we’ll be adding more sportsbooks, and supporting In-Play Lines, Props, and Futures as well. Stay tuned for more announcements on which books will follow in 2024.
Push Feeds
In collaboration with Ably, we are excited to offer push feeds for time-sensitive baseball data, namely In-Play Lines and Game State. No more polling the API for the latest updates - just connect to our Ably channel, and as soon as data updates on our side, we’ll automatically push it through to you.
