SportsDataIO Announces NFL 2019 Products
Football is Coming
We’re anxiously awaiting the return of the NFL here at SportsDataIO. The NFL is king and we anticipate another record year in gaming revenues tied to the league.
Before we get to the internal news and updates we wanted to let you know that we’ll be exhibiting at the FSGA conference on June 27 and 28. We’re excited to see some familiar faces and show off our “Best Data Provider” title. We’re also excited to see what insights the first year of “legalized” gambling has yielded.
Most importantly, we’re looking forward to seeing familiar faces and making new friends. Please let us know if you’re interested in getting together in person at the show. We’re always looking to learn about new game types/products within the Sports Betting space and this is a fantastic opportunity to do so.
We expect to hear about a lot of growth at the conference and we’re proud of what we’ll be able to share. The NFL rules when it comes to combined Fantasy and Sports Betting revenues. We don’t expect this year to be any different and that’s why we’re so excited to let you know about some of the enhancements we’ve made for our NFL Data.
First and foremost we now have advanced grading & performance metrics. We’re now offering more than 150 data points for skill positions, providing metrics such as; Receiver contested catch rate, Deep Ball Comp %, Evaded Tackles, and Air Yards and more. You can see the full list of stats here.
With the increase wagers and game types, smart bettors and DFS players will be looking for any insight or detail to get an edge. By utilizing our advanced metrics you’ll be providing your customers with details not readily available anywhere else! These metrics can also be used to power truly unique prop bets giving your application a higher level of engagement.
Next, we’re pleased to announce that we have high-res licensed player headshots directly from our API. We may be numbers oriented but ask any good UX specialist and they’ll tell you images drive engagement. By adding player headshots to your site or application your users will spend more time on site and enjoy a premium experience.
We’re also adding an aggregated odds service which will include 20+ sportsbooks across Vegas, Legal Onshore, and Offshore providing pre-match and in-play markets. With the explosion in sports betting more books are vying for more competition. Putting all the odds in one place and lets your customers decide (or make your suggestion) where they should place their bet.
We’ve added new player props and are now providing an over/under for every player, across every statistical category, for every game. Perfect for driving engagement with your audience!
Finally, we’re adding new editorial services, such as previews, recaps, breaking news, and notes. Keep your audience captive and informed by becoming a one-stop shop!
We’re so excited about the advancement in our NFL API and welcome any feedback you have around our new offerings. We know that there are more sports than the NFL though! We recently added the WNBA and will be releasing a UFC API soon. See more of what we cover by clicking here.
Don’t forget that you can always test any hypothesis’ or your applications with our API using the free sports data available in our trial package. Last season is always on us.
Finally, we want to wish a warm welcome to Michal Harrison who recently joined the SportsDataIO team as a Developer. Our primary goal is to provide you all with the cleanest, easiest to use sports data APIs on the market today. Michal will help in that endeavor and ensure that our customer service continues to be thorough and responsive.
Again, we want to hear from any and all of you. Please feel free to contact us at any time.
