Competition Feeds

Teams & Drivers

Driver profiles include data such as name, birth date, height/weight, and driver's car/team info: number, manufacturer, engine, chassis, and sponsor.

• NASCAR driver information is available for all three primary series types: NASCAR Cup Series, XFinity Series, and Truck Series.

• Driver profiles are continuously maintained and updated throughout the year.
• All NASCAR GlobalPlayerID's start with 800.

Venues

SportsDataIO confirms all upcoming tracks scheduled to host NASCAR races at the beginning of each season.

• Track data is updated for each series when the schedule is initially released by NASCAR and they are updated throughout the year.

Event Feeds

Schedules & Race Day Info

The NASCAR schedule release varies year-to-year but typically occurs in late Summer or early Fall for the upcoming calendar year. Once the official schedule is announced, SportsDataIO promptly matches and updates schedule records, usually within several hours of release.

Each race record includes:

• Series Information (Cup, Xfinity, Truck)
• Name of the race
• Date and time (delivered in Eastern Time)
• Track information
• TV broadcast details
• Scheduled laps

If a race is rescheduled for any reason, the rescheduled date and time can be found using the RescheduledDay and RescheduledDateTimefields in the Races endpoint.

Scores & Game State

SportsDataIO provides comprehensive race coverage through live leaderboards, race status, and final results.

Pre-Race:

• Driver entry lists will be provided 5-7 days pre-race, as soon as NASCAR publishes them.
• Following pre-race qualifying, the StartPosition, PoleFinalPosition, and QualifyingSpeed fields will be populated, which can be used to determine the starting grid for the race.

Race Coverage:

• In addition to the start time of the race, the IsInProgress field on the Race object can be used to determine if the race is in progress. The leaderboard updates live every 10-15 minutes as the race unfolds.

Final Only (No Game State)

• Final leaderboard results are delivered after the event is final. Final results are available about 5-10 minutes after each race concludes.
• Game State is only available through live in-game updates, and therefore is not included for customers only taking "Final Only" delivery.

Live & Final (With Game State)

• Leaderboards are updated live every 10-15 minutes.
• Final leaderboards are generally updated as confirmed/final within 60 minutes after the conclusion of each race.

Betting Feeds

Game Lines

Race lines (race winner, top finishers) available pre-race, including timestamps for opening price, line movement changes, and closing prices.

• Sportsbooks typically publish race odds 3-5 days before the race.
• Pre-race betting markets include race winners, top finishers, and partial-race markets (e.g. leader after the first 50 laps).

Pre-Game Lines

• Core game lines typically become available 3-5 days prior to a race, with additional markets appearing throughout the week leading up to race day.
  • Pre-race lines are available from multiple sportsbooks.
  • Does not include resulting of game line markets.

Pre-Game Lines Plus

Includes full-race odds markets including all line movement for pre-race odds markets.

Props

Prop markets including driver finishing positions, head-to-head driver matchups, group betting, winner manufacturer, and more.

• Props are typically published 3-5 days before race day, with additional markets being added leading up to the race.
• Race props are currently available from FanDuel, with additional sportsbooks being integrated soon.

Props Plus

• Line movement is available for NASCAR Props. 
• Does not include resulting of prop markets.

Fantasy Feeds

Projections

SportsDataIO's proprietary predictive models generate fantasy projections for drivers participating on a given race day.

• Note that NASCAR-specific points and scoring systems can vary between fantasy and DFS operators. For details, refer to our Fantasy Points Calculations guide.

Salaries, Stats & Points

DFS Salaries provides all contest information from DraftKings, allowing DFS optimizers and other fantasy tools to automate managing DFS contests.

Stats & Points

• Fantasy points are calculated according to several scoring systems including DraftKings, FanDuel, Yahoo, and SportsDataIO's proprietary scoring system.
• It is important to know that the NASCAR-specific points and scoring system is different across fantasy and DFS operators
• FantasyPointsDraftKings, FantasyPointsFanDuel, and FantasyPointsYahoo fields are all calculated using their classic slate scoring systems.
