Customer Spotlight: Catena Media
Catena Media has been keeping a keen eye on the sports betting industry in the United States for years. Catena has been launching and buying US-facing online properties for several years now, with one of their most significant purchases since 2016 was a sports betting content site, TheLines.com.
Part of their work after purchasing any new site is trying to find a way to integrate all of the odds from the different sportsbooks in the United States. Another problem that Catena was running into was the fact that new sportsbooks continued to pop up, creating more work for their integration team, as well as their website development team. Sportsbooks across the country all do things a little bit differently, and Catena struggled to create a unified structure to integrate all of the odds. In order to find a way to make this process easier, they turned to us, SportsDataIO, to find a solution.
Our aggregated odds feed was the perfect solution for this problem, and it has helped the Catena team to integrate their odds in a much easier and quicker fashion. All of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania sportsbooks are in one feed, and Catena developers can grab all of the data that they need from a single source. As new books launch and new states legalize, Catena automatically gets new lines as part of their existing integration. In addition to the sportsbooks odds, they are able to beef up the pages with other content, such as trends, stats, news, and images.
By utilizing SportsDataIO’s products (Aggregated Odds Service + Data Feeds API), Catena is now able to focus on the two things they do best: writing content and acquiring users.
