Action network was the brainchild of the Chernin Group, who in 2017, launched the site with a vision for becoming a first-to-market leader of next-generation betting tools and content ahead of the looming legalization of sports betting in the US. They quickly rose to become the leading gaming content and tools property for the US, ensuring their position in the market after the PASPA repeal a year later in 2018. Action Network approached SportsDataIO with a need for deep Sports Data and Betting Data feeds to help power their predictive models that would become the cornerstone of their paid products to users, allowing them to provide unrivaled betting picks and analytics to their users. In the spring of 2021, Action Network sold to Better Collective, another SportsDataIO client, giving them a new home with a long-time expert to continue their reign as one of the top destinations for new and experienced betters alike.
SimpleBet came together in 2018 with a shared vision between a few sports technology veterans to create a one-of-a-kind B2B betting product that would allow sportsbooks to offer an enhanced in-play betting experience using micro-markets, allowing users to wager on every action on the field from the results of the next play to the next pitch to the next free throw. Simplebet's product required a sophisticated machine learning and AI engine that would allow for split second odds creation and settlement for their customers' sportsbooks. SimpleBet approached us with a need for deep historical data to train and test their engine, and an on-gonig license to keep their engine continuously trained and running accurately. We were able to provide a multitude of API feeds across top US leagues that allowed them to finalize their product offering and start partnering with US online gaming platforms. In 2020 SimpleBet launched their first micro-betting solution with FanDuel, another SportsDataIO customer, and then in 2021, added a partnership with Intralot to again roll out their product to a handful of states offering online betting.
Inside Injuries set out to provide a service that fills a missing gap and also is of the upmost importance to teams, leagues, operators and beyond: predict the future of health of a team’s players, thereby predicting performance for individual players and overall teams. Inside Injuries set out to achieve this goal with the help of their in-house orthopedic surgeons, radiologists and data scientists. They approached SportsDataIO in order to bring in the base sports data and injury data for them to build their service upon. The result was a set of highly-acccurate predictive outputs that offered their clients a valuable insight into the future of their player’s short- and long-term health.
